Discover Why We Are Passionate About Helping Indigenous Businesses

Founder story:
Rory, a proud Wiradjuri/Ngemba man, has worked in the IT industry for over 25 years. As his career grew, he found himself getting further from his culture and community, and it wasn't just affecting him, it was affecting his young family too. He realised that as an employee, he had little say over who actually benefited from his work, so he decided to get back to his roots and become a business owner. He also noticed a gap in the market: most Indigenous-owned IT companies were focused on servicing government and corporate clients, not mob. So Rory set out to do the work that makes him happiest, supporting mob with their tech needs. Since 2018, he's been steadily building Embrace Tech and helping First Nations organisations move away from tech support that gave them little value for money.
Since 2018, Rory has been steadily building his business and helping First Nations organisations uplift their tech and move away from tech support services that provided them with little value for money. What started on the Sunshine Coast has since grown to offices in Glebe, NSW and now Darwin, NT, so we can bring that same trusted support directly to more mob communities across the country.

Our Mission:
Our mission is simple: to be the trusted IT partner for Indigenous organisations and propel their businesses forward. We do this by offering reliable, efficient and cost-effective IT solutions, so technology never gets in the way of the important work Indigenous organisations do for our communities. We want to break the cycle of mob getting ripped off for tech support, and give them support that helps them thrive well beyond any digital divide. Indigenous organisations are vital to our communities, and we know that without them, our communities wouldn't be able to thrive the way they do.
